Yes, amazingly: I treated myself to a new bag from Melissa at tiny happy. I know I have a lot of these now but as you may have noticed, I also have a lot of works in progress at any given time, ahem. It won't go neglected. But what I really wanted to talk about today is the pin.
Omigosh, Melissa is so skilled with her embroidery needle... and I am so not. I love the look of embroidery, and I think it's a great asset to a knitter to know how to add fancy detail to his or her work. I've bought so many embroidery books, too - I love looking at them. Just never seem to find the time to develop any sort of skill level beyond 'abysmal', which I guess is because the do-it-yourself passion isn't there.
Still, I'm full of admiration for people who do have it. I mean, even for making fangs!
I love Kendall's perfect fangs, don't you?
Fortunately, I do have both passion and skill for knitting, and I did mention it's cold out right now, right? so yay, Consolation in wool.

Crochet. I've always wanted to learn to crochet and just can't seem to "get it." I felt that way about knitting at one time, so maybe I'll figure it out.
2013 I taught myself to spin wit drop spindle.
2014 one of:
Spin on a wheel.
Weaving.
Since I don't have either of these, it will depend on which I find very, very cheap.
Sending good spinning and weaving wishes your way Karen! I got lucky with my wheel - I figured out the one I wanted, and a few months later I stumbled across another knitter selling that exact model, used. I think my loom still cost less but I use the wheel more so maybe it's a wash :^)
I was thinking Leslie - I did finally 'get' crochet after years of not understanding it, and now I think I'll have to 'get' a specific crochet project! otherwise I may never put that skill to use. Maybe I should try putting a nice contrast border on a scarf or something?
