Green knitting on a white day

We had some real snow for the first time in several years over the weekend, such that the Gramma step on the porch was no longer dry and remote, for photos like this one:


That's some new yarn I bought last week for a special knit for this one (but more on that in a day or two.)

The snow was nothing like as dramatic as people got along the east coast, but it sure did make the porch look pretty.


I was especially delighted with the frosting that dropped gnome caps in unexpected places:



Eventually, enough fell to make it necessary to shovel out the gate so I could open it at all.


But I didn't rush to do that.


Too busy knitting.  Yum!
