Colour: it's why we knit

I got yarn in the mail this week.  Can you believe these colours together?

Now, I'm pretty sure you can relate when I say that I've been feeling the teensiest bit hemmed in by all the stripes around here.  Thinking maybe it's time for some lace, or some seriously heavy cables.  But this yarn?

Vesper Sock club yarn: Day Dream Believer

Wowza, does it ever make me want to cast on yet another pair of socks.

(I'm not going to, though.  Today is a writing day, and I have to make the most of it.  See you tomorrow!)

Ahhh! Yes, color. That's the first thing that draws me to a yarn, and I am a sucker for varigated yarn. In just a second, I'll get back to knitting lounge socks for a friend undergoing chemo that are bulky, ridiculously soft, and a beautiful mix of green, blues and purples; a Malabrigo Rasta delight. Just found your site; love it! Paula Jacunski, Bath Maine

Chemo socks - that's brilliant, Paula! Big comfy socks always make me more cheerful than anything else - if I were going through that, they would be the best ever. Happy knitting!
